Rockingham County's housing market attracted both buyers and sellers during 2026’s second quarter, highlighted by an increase in closed sales.

317 Rockingham County homes closed on a sale, marking a 12.4 percent increase from 253 during the same time period in 2025. Rockingham County homes averaged 60 days on the market, up 25% from 48 days during 2025’s second quarter.

Rockingham County had 317 homes for sale, up 12.4% from 282 during 2025’s second quarter. Months’ supply of inventory climbed to 3.8, a 5.6% increase from 3.6. Rockingham County welcomed 418 new listings, a 5.3% increase from 397 during 2025’s second quarter.

Median sales price rose 2.8% in Rockingham County, increasing from $240,000 during 2025’s second quarter to $246,700. Average sales price rose 2.3%, increasing from $266,781 to $272,958.
