Rockingham County 2025 Fourth Quarter Housing Stats
ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. – Rockingham County continued attracting buyers during 2025’s fourth quarter housing market, thanks to homes staying on the market longer and an inventory increase.
Rockingham County homes averaged 54 days on the market, up 20% from 45 days during the same time period in 2024. Rockingham County had 281 homes for sale, up 2.6% from 274 during 2024’s fourth quarter. Months’ supply of inventory climbed to 3.2, a 3.2% increase from 3.1.
“Buyers have more options with increased inventory, while the rise in days on the market gives them more time to find their dream homes,” said Dawn Stone, Chair of GRRA’s Rockingham County Council. “Come see why Rockingham County is such a great place to live – and where your dollar goes further on your dream home.”
Rockingham County welcomed 286 new listings, a 14.6% decrease from 335 during the same time period in 2024. Closed sales fell to 250, marking a 7.4% decrease from 270.
Median sales price jumped 5.2% in Rockingham County, increasing from $235,000 in 2024’s fourth quarter to $247,250. Average sales price increased 1.5%, rising from $259,813 to $263,803.
