Randolph County’s 2026 Second Quarter Housing Market has more Inventory and Closed Sales

Increases in inventory and closed sales highlighted Randolph County’s 2026 second quarter housing market.

Asheboro had 116 homes on the market, up 20.8 percent from 96 during the same time period in 2025. Randolph County saw 312 homes for sale, a 9.5% increase from 285.

Asheboro’s months’ supply of inventory grew to 3.0, an 11.1% increase from 2.7 during 2025’s second quarter. Randolph County’s months’ supply of inventory rose to 2.9, up 3.6% from 2.8.

140 homes sold in Asheboro, up 32.1% from 106 in 2025’s second quarter. 388 homes sold in Randolph County, a 17.2% increase from 331.

The average sales price increased 5.1% in Randolph County, rising from $299,392 in 2025’s second quarter to $314,717. Asheboro’s average price rose 10.7%, from $281,844 to $312,132.

Randolph County’s median sales price rose 2.2%, climbing from $283,700 during 2025’s second quarter to $290,000. Asheboro’s median sales price increased 4.6%, rising from $270,000 to $282,500.

New listings increased in Asheboro, rising 13.3% from 143 in 2025’s second quarter to 162. Randolph County reported 453 new listings, down 5.8% from 481.

Randolph County homes averaged 48 days on market, up 17.1% from 41 days during 2025’s second quarter. Asheboro homes averaged 42 days on market, down 12.5% from 48 days.
