GREENSBORO, N.C. – A deserving champion in the real estate community earned recognition for her contributions to the industry, recently receiving the Greensboro Regional REALTORS® Association’s Public Service Award.

Miriam Baer was named the 2026 recipient of GRRA’s Public Service Award, at GRRA’s April First Tuesday Luncheon on Tuesday, April 7.

This award honors a public servant who demonstrates consistent and outstanding service to the real estate industry. The recipient provides time, talent and enthusiasm to benefit the real estate profession and makes an enduring impact – not only on the real estate community, but also on the Counties we serve.

Ms. Baer currently serves as Executive Director of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission, a position she has held since 2010 and where she has worked since 1987. Baer is set to retire effective Tuesday, June 30.

Throughout her tenure, Baer oversaw the modernization of the Commission’s processes through technology to improve efficiency. She also expanded the Commission’s outreach to licensees, consumers and individuals interested in entering the real estate profession.

In addition to Baer’s award, a $500 donation will be made in her honor, to a charity of her choice, by the Greensboro Regional REALTORS® Association.
