GRRA BOD - May 2021

Description

Happy May and how quickly this year is flying by. We will be holding this month’s BOD meeting in the GRRA Activity Center (mask optional) with a box lunch. Staff will be spreading out the tables and chairs, so we won’t be on top of each other.  Also, we are moving the meeting time back to 12:00pm since lunch is being provided.    

We will be discussing the Governor’s new Executive Order specifically how we want to handle the mask up in our building. Also, we will get updates from the NAR Legislative Meetings and hear how our virtual Trolley to Raleigh went.  Finally, we will get a report from the Nominating Committee and other updates from our Committees and Divisions.

I am happy to report that 100% of BOD has invested in RPAC for 2021. Thank you to all for your investment!

More good news, NCR has hired a new shared Government Affairs Director who services GRRA (25hrs a week) HPRAR (10hrs a week) and NCR (5hrs. a week). Her name is Genise Smith-Watkins and she has over 30 years’ experience in legislative, public policy and regulatory industry. Genise will start her new job on June 01, 2021.

Fair Haven will take about 20 to 40 minutes to complete, and I think our Board should try to be at 100% on this since Fair Housing is so important!
