Course Description
The 2026–2027 Broker-in-Charge Update (BICUP) provides Brokers-in-Charge and BIC-Eligible Brokers with important updates on current North Carolina real estate laws, rules, and Commission guidance. Topics include appraisals, fake sellers and related risks, Fair Housing, frequently asked questions from the NCREC, licensing and education updates, and current law and rule changes. The course also provides a focused review of BIC responsibilities, including supervision and compliance obligations.BROKER IN CHARGE COURSE 2026-2027 BIC UPDATE COURSE must be completed between July 1, 2026 and June 10, 2027. Note: *If you are not a BIC or a BIC-Eligible licensee, you will not receive credit for this course. General brokers must take General Update along with a 4-hour elective. North Carolina Real Estate Commission attendance requirements apply to this course.GRRA Continuing Education Classroom Expectations - In-Person CE CourseThe Greensboro Regional REALTORS® Association (GRRA) is committed to providing a professional, engaging learning environment while complying with all North Carolina Real Estate Commission (NCREC) requirements for continuing education.Attendance Requirements
The North Carolina Real Estate Commission requires students to attend at least 90% of the scheduled instructional time in order to receive Continuing Education credit. - Arrive on time. - Remain in the classroom throughout instruction. - Return promptly from scheduled breaks. - Stay until the course has officially concluded. - Follow all instructor and GRRA staff directions.Students arriving after more than 10% of the class has elapsed or leaving before the course concludes are not eligible to receive Continuing Education credit.Class Check-in ExpectationsClass participants should be prepared for the following: - Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled class start time to complete check-in. - Bring their North Carolina Real Estate Commission Pocket Card (electronic or printed). - Bring a government-issued photo ID if requested for identity verification. - Silence their cell phone and other electronic devices before class begins. - Plan to remain for the entire course. NCREC attendance requirements apply. - Notify a GRRA staff member ASAP if an emergency arises that may affect their attendance.
Classroom ExpectationsGRRA is committed to providing a professional, respectful, and distraction-free learning environment for all students. Students are expected to: - Be attentive and actively engaged throughout the course. - Remain in the classroom except during scheduled breaks or emergencies. - Treat instructors, fellow REALTORS®, and GRRA staff with courtesy and professionalism. - Keep conversations to a minimum during instruction. - Use electronic devices only for course-related purposes. - Silence cell phones and smart watches. - Help maintain a positive learning environment for everyone. - Follow all instructions provided by the instructor and GRRA staff.Attendance is monitored in accordance with North Carolina Real Estate Commission requirements.Conduct That May Result in Loss of CE CreditStudents may be denied Continuing Education credit or asked to leave class for behaviors including, but not limited to: - Arriving late beyond the allowable attendance limit. - Leaving before the course concludes. - Missing more than 10% of the instructional time. - Sleeping or appearing inattentive during instruction. - Repeatedly leaving the classroom during instruction. - Conducting business or performing work unrelated to the course. - Excessive texting, phone use, or internet browsing unrelated to class. - Disruptive conversations or behavior. - Failure to follow instructor or GRRA staff directions. - Any behavior that prevents compliance with North Carolina Real Estate Commission attendance requirements.Course CompletionUpon successful completion of the course, GRRA will report your course completion to the North Carolina Real Estate Commission within seven days after the course and provide a Course Completion Certificate via email.

GRRA Continuing Education Registration & Fees
GRRA Primary and Secondary REALTOR® Members: As a member benefit, GRRA primary and secondary members receive two (2) CE classes at no additional cost during the 2026–2027 NCREC continuing education cycle.
REALTORS® who are not GRRA Primary or Secondary Members: $55 per class
Non-REALTORS®: $75 per class
Cancellation/No-Show Policy: GRRA members who register for a complimentary CE class must cancel at least 24 hours prior to the class. Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the class, or failure to attend, will result in a $55 fee charged to the member’s account.
Refund Policy: Registration fees are non-refundable.
